The tomato jungle in my backyard is really only two plants...
My garden is now overgrown, and lush, deep into summer. As promised.
Tomatoes and peppers are starting to form.
From my experience last year in my new home, I don’t need to prune what is hanging over the edges, the deer will soon start eating everything hanging over the edge. I only need to prune the inside to promote better light dispersion and airflow.
Everything inside my garden gate is mine, everything hanging over the edge belongs to the neighborhood deer.
Them’s the rules.
They seem to do a pretty good job and I know my cat seems to love having the deer around.
They also manage to trim all my decorative trees. 🤣
I haven’t had to trim these since I moved in back in 2022.
I love this town.

This stuff can grow some monster veggies too and this year I selected Big Bertha and Beefsteak as my plants, so I should get some beauties.
I’ll keep giving updates as the season goes on.
Though…. buyer beware…..it is some stinky stuff that stains bad, so be sure and not get it on clothing you care about. It smells like the inside of your grandfathers tackle box and looks like the inside of an outhouse.
