Is it possible?
This story is more of an open question to a bigger community, rather than a story with an object, subject, and narrative.
Yes, I have already asked this in Amazon’s KDP community, and so far no answers, so I hope that doesn’t mean there is no solution.
I just published my first book to Amazon.
I tried running an Amazon ad.
Eeek!
I don’t think I have ever seen an ad perform so badly.
$8 to sell 1 $4 ebook.
Amazon promotions are not like Facebook or Google, there is not a lot that I can tweak.
I am familiar with installing Google Analytics on my ecom sites and tracking conversions. Usually pretty easy.
But what about tracking ebook sales on the Amazon platform, if you are not running ads with Amazon?
Does anyone know of a way to track where Amazon ebook sales come from without using Amazon-driven promotions?
I already know I am better at converting to sales with YouTube than I am Amazon, but I am at a loss for tracking sales effetively.
Link tracking solutions don’t work unless they can track and report the sale itself, which would seem to involve Amazons cooperation. Knowing how many people clicked the link is not what I am looking for.
Amazon support — only tries to push me into Amazon ads.
Are there any Amazon authors out there running ads who have found a way to track where their sales are coming from?
Thank you for reading!
Until next time….
