Any out there have any tips?
Unfortunately it’s looking like my cat Zen isn’t going to make it.
The oncologist said best case for remission looks like another 6–9 months, tops. She has the most aggressive form of Lymphoma — Gastro / Large Cell, so it’s not a good prognosis. Had it been small cell, the oncologist said she would be more hopeful.
If anyone out there has saved a kitty with lymphoma using some alternative treatment or even a treatment in conjunction with chemo, I’d love to hear about it.
I didn’t want to take the time to write this today, but on the off chance that someone out there found an esoteric solution that worked and wants to share, I decided I should write.
So far all friends and family who have been through similar experiences have said the same thing : if they had it to do over, they’d never do chemo again, and they would just spend time with their pet while they could.
It’s hard watching her turn for the better for a month, then abruptly turn back for the worst.
We have decided to take care of her and be with her until it’s time, so I have been taking a break from all content creation for a minute to focus on her.
I’m treating her with Prednisolone, a mild colloidal silver for infection control, probiotics, and Science Diet emergency formula.
She’s skinny, but up until yesterday she was still moving around more, wanting to go outside.
She came outside again today but was noticeably less mobile.
If anyone out there has a hail mary to try, I am open to it.
This house won’t be the same without her. She is kind of a quirky kitty.
Ever since she was a kitten, she would jump onto some counter and catch me by surprise by jumping onto my shoulders.
Ouch.
But I always loved it.
It kinda hurt as she got bigger.
One thing that will be hard about loosing this baby girl, she came from a litter from an ex-girlfriends cat, and I brought both she and her sister home.
They have been a pair the entire time.
Her sister Saoirse knows something is wrong, but when the time comes, I know its going to be an empty house and feel that way to her sister.
I’m going to miss my Beazy so much it’s making me want to kind of go on vacation when this is over, and not answer messages for a bit.
Update :
Thank you for reading!
If you have been through something like this, I feel you.
Much love to you and your fur babies.
Hold ‘em close and take them on vacations with you, you won’t regret it.
