A couple of years ago when I was browsing for my first chatbot to replace myself for customer support, I discovered a new website (new to me, anyway), and what they do is a bit different.
If you have never heard of App Sumo, I am freaking delighted to introduce you to this service!
This website hosts pre-launch software and only offers Lifetime Licenses.
Developers will submit their software to App Sumo as a Lifetime deal for extremely low prices compared to the cost of the product when it launches.

These Lifetime deals come and go.
Very often they will only be listed for a week or two.
If you see something that interests you while browsing, check it out quick. The deal might be gone the next time you look!
The software examples I am showing you here — you cannot get grandfathered into these platforms anymore.
Those ships sailed long ago.
However, there are still PLENTY of opportunities to find new tools and enable yourself and your business.
App Sumo hosts many apps and there are hundreds of bundles available at any given time.
The only real risk is that sometimes a start up doesn’t make it, and lasts a few years and then discontinues their software.
So far that has not happened to me yet.
Lifetime License = “Grandfathered”
You can get grandfathered into something and get rid of extra monthly payments, and that frees you to test a lot more things!
I am grandfathered into several systems.
Getting My Groove On
I purchased a Lifetime License for GrooveFunnels/GrooveKart during their start up phase in 2020.
Now I can deploy and test new fully featured e-commerce websites to my hearts delight, with no additional monthly cost to fail forward.
UPDATE — Someone just notified me that GrooveKart is now Free! I had no idea! It turns out, sometime in the 3 years since I bought in, they made the decision to deploy their own payment solution, GroovePay, and they are making their money from the Payment processor, as well as Affiliate structure — so they are offering their e-commerce hosting totally free now.
That. Is. Huge!
Infinite Funnels, unlimited stores with carts and plugins, affiliate portal for my customers, webinars, and more.
Do you know how many times I failed with eCom ideas before finding the ideas that worked?
Print on Demand alone, I have tested dozens of site ideas, before landing on the few that stuck and were worth my time.
Sometimes a store works, sometimes it doesn’t, but I am not out of pocket very much at all. A domain name is usually the only new cost.
I have only been able to do this without stress due to being grandfathered into a suite of tools that free me from having to invest monthly up front to see if an idea works and can find a market.
I can work a new business idea into the profit zone without eating a hole in my wallet.

I bought a chatbot called BotStar three years ago for about $59, and when they launched it it was $59 a month for the service.

I can create UNLIMITED BOTS, on UNLIMITED SITES, three seats (team members who can access the software) and 50,000 sessions per month.
The average price has since come down to $29, mo, but my level of Grandfathered service …. is currently ABOVE their $299/mo agency plan!!!!
Especially because I am not limited to 3 active bots, I have 4 bots going now!
And I pay nothing.
The service is EXCELLENT.
The interface and ease of use, easy as pie.
I actually ended up saving myself almost $2 ,000 dollars on this software, just by using this website.
More like $11,000 when I consider that I also rarely hit the 50,000 session limit.
If I had to pay for every session over 5000, that can add up fast.

Orimon AI
Botstar is NOT an AI powered chatbot.
I had to create the conversational flow myself, and that was ALOT of work.
Last night I was looking for a new chatbot that I can deploy faster.
I was looking for an AI chatbot, because that’s exactly what everybody’s wanting to upgrade to.
I did some browsing on App Sumo and I ended up purchasing Orimon AI, $49 Lifetime.
I built three chatbots in a single night for my three main projects, and they were ready in about an hour.
They were pretty much in a state where I can deploy them, and they’re amazing.
This saves me time and energy when trying to deploy and test a new ecom idea.

My Grandfathered AI Video Generator / Editor

Kapwing
Kapwing is another great one.
Kapwing allows me to create AI generated videos that look amazing, in seconds.
This can create storyboards, scripts, copy your voice to read scripts, transform documents into video, turn instruction manuals into video, you name it, this software is insanely powerful.
I can then edit and transform my videos into anything that I want, because it has a full featured editor too.
I use Kapwing for ads, YouTube Channels, and every possible platform where I can post promos for my stores.
The videos that are posted at the end of my blogs, were built with Kapwing.
It was bundled for about $99, but now goes for $200 per year, approx.
It sure is nice to have all these amazing tools, and not have to pay a monthly dime for them.

Because of these Grandfathered tools, not only can I build as many full featured websites as I want.
I have saved myself literally thousands of dollars.
Very often, when their product finally launches, I am left with a license that is equal or ABOVE their top tier level of service.
There have been times I struggled, and testing a new website idea would have been out of the question.
Thanks to having all these tools at my disposal, that’s not an issue at all anymore.
I highly recommend App Sumo.
