I have been searching for vacant lots recently. It turns out, some other dude on the internet has beaten me to this idea and has written the book that I would have surely written if given enough time.

Hold it, do nothing. It will increase in value over time.

The vacant land where I live is usually covered in trees.
That makes it a perfect setting for perhaps a new camping spot, or a lumber contract. I live in a lumber industry area with lots of private landowners that have contracts with Weyerhauser and the like.
Unless you turn vacant land into a parking lot, or a camping space, it is hard to rent your vacant land without a good reason, but a vacant lot is perfect if you want something you can hold without much expense or attention.
I’ve rented out a personal travel trailer in the past, and rather enjoyed it. I made the trailer pay for itself and then some.

I’ve been thinking about how to get back into that and scale it in a way that won’t create more work for myself. Land is the obvious solution, but finding the right land isn’t always easy.
