Beta no more. He is ready to educate, and generate profit.

My multi-platform digital tutor chatbot has finally reached a point where I feel comfy running advertisements drawing more traffic to my site.
I found an interesting way to train him, now he is performing 10x better — and I wanted to share what I did.
Everyone who is tinkering with AI is probably well aware — the prompt you use makes all the difference in the world. The way you frame/make your request, controls the kind of output you can expect, and that output can be wildly different.
Problem: How do I overcome the fact that users online can word things in a million different ways and get results I did not anticipate?
Unless my audience knows how to prompt a bot, they can potentially receive total garbage responses. That doesn’t work.
So, I have to pre-prompt my bot so that invisibly running before each user query are my predefined parameters defining how the bot will frame it’s responses.
When crafting a chatbots personality, I have the option to select Tutor, Support, or Custom.
Tutor mode is boring and doesn’t serve my affiliate links effectively.
Support mode is more helpful, but tends to refer people to documentation instead of answering their questions or offering new insight, etc.
So I have been crafting a custom prompt to give my bot the personality I wanted, while also helping it stay on point and actually give people appropriate step by step instructions and useful information.
Up until I made a key change to my website this week — my chatbot was horrible with offering the right links. It would give broken links, or useless links, and it was particularly bad at giving users the affiliate links that I want my users to receive.
I solved that problem with an interesting workaround, and Digital Morton is now ready for a bigger audience!
