Bulletproof Online Income?
The most stable source of independent income I have ever found, probably isn’t what you think.
When I first embarked to create a more passive online income, I had to wade through all of the same thick weeds and shiny objects that everyone else does.
So I whipped out my machete of calculated reason and whacked through the thicket and eventually cleared the path to my favorite source of online income, which is my favorite for a very specific reason.
Let’s take a look at the most popular and promoted sources of online income rated by difficulty, dependency on popularity and/or platforms, and whether or not they can be managed by an individual.
Rating = 1–10,
10 = most difficult to pull off + most effort to maintain
1 = least difficult + lowest effort level
Authentic YouTube Channel. It’s genuinely a full time job and then some to run an Authentic YouTube channel monetized to the point of a full time salary (my channel will never be that). Authentic = real content, created by humans, voices, stories, cameras, and editing.
This is difficult for individuals to pull off by themselves. Requires a team or the right idea. You can make great income, but it will require lots of work and effort.
Popularity is the wild card. The best channels in the world can be popular one day, and loose popularity the next. You can put a lot of effort into a channel, and it just never becomes popular. This income is dependent on constantly creating content and engaging the audience, becoming/remaining popular. It’s not guaranteed, and not everyone can produce quality content or maintain content creation forever.

Automated YouTube Channel. You can create excellent and somewhat effortless income, but it isn’t always easy to manifest. The most common courses for Automated YouTube methods teach you to create scripts with A.I. and pay contractors on Fiver to create the videos for you, or have contractors create the entire video, script, voiceover, and all, and do this repeatedly to create new videos until you reach monetization from YouTube. It can be fairly expensive to start and test new ideas that way until you find the right channel/team.
AI Automated YouTube shorts, another thing entirely and might be viable, and easy to automate without a team of contractors using only AI, which is why this gets a 5 instead of a 7 on difficulty rating. Much less expensive to create and test these channels. It might get a 3, if not for the fact that there are so many of these being created that its harder and harder to get shorts to be picked up and made viral.
I am testing one of these lovely creatures right now. I will be attempting to fully automate a niche-novelty-humor shorts channel.
All Automated YouTube channel income is will be dependent on your channel becoming and remaining popular, creating content constantly, and not being blacklisted by YouTube for being an automated content creator.

Print on Demand. A truly successful print on demand shop will require diligence and solid customer service. This income is dependent on constantly engaging a customer base, and remaining popular, and having the right designs that sell. It can be dependent on marketplaces and platforms depending on where you create your sales channels. You can also create your own website using something like WooCommerce, and be somewhat free from media platform dependence.
A combination of “all the right stuff” makes this venture profitable. I have already automated such a store, and I am in the process of tweaking/refining it.

By combining YouTube with Merchandize created via Print on Demand, and Social Influence, you can create a powerful combination and most successful YouTube creators do this to supplement monetization and generate an additional income stream.
Affiliate Marketing. This can be done passively, but more often than not will require engaging an audience and creating content constantly, even if you don’t show up in people’s DM’s all day or engage them. This income is dependent on your customer base, mailing lists, online traffic sources, etc.

Blogging— definitely not passive income, real writing takes time and attention but can be very rewarding — like art, or any other form of creative expression, but more often than not this will require engaging an audience and creating content constantly. This income is dependent on your writing being engaging and thoughtful, and also — remaining popular.

Favorite Creator Platform: Medium

Automated Blogging. More of a passive income, but this content is actively being demoted by all search engines and platforms so you have to be clever. This income is dependent on your AI generated content being engaging and thoughtful, your blog remaining popular, and not being actively shadow-banned by search engines to the point of making the endeavor too hard to maintain.
Many people are attempting to automate blogs with AI. The articles they generate are bland, boring, derivative, and usually don’t get any promotion from Medium. The only use I have found for them is novelty on retail ecom sites that need article filler.
There is one big exception and that is the AI tool that I use to turn my video tutorial content into blogs. Blogify. It does a great job, and it’s essentially just re-combobulating my own video content to make it more appropriate for a blog.

By combining Affiliate Marketing with YouTube, Blogging or Automated Blogging, incorporating ads, you can create a powerful combination, and most successful Bloggers and YouTubers do this to supplement and generate an additional income stream. You can combine Print on Demand as well, and have multiple income channels being built in tandem.

Rentals — Real Estate or Vehicles. This can be done passively if you have enough assets to pay for property management, but more often than not will require some diligence and determination.
You will have to maintain rentals and clean them when needed, and for vehicles, that also means oil changes, interior detail, etc. For homes and structures, this means remodels and basic maintenance, exterior care, interfacing with tenants, etc.
Not as dependent on a customer base or remaining popular, thanks to marketplace platforms that facilitate the rentals and book your rentals for you.

Crypto Trading Bots. This requires some diligence to learn and further diligence to respond to market conditions. This income is dependent on your own mastery and understanding, but can also be dependent on trading platforms.
Utterly non-dependent on other people. This income stream cannot be cancelled on a whim because you said something someone didn’t like. Your popularity does not matter. You can be the most Archie Bunker-ish curmudgeon on earth, and your income cannot be disrupted.
Note: While the nature of cryptocurrency is volatile and income from bots can vary month to month, at the same time — the inability for anyone to cancel this income, and with zero need for popularity or engagement of any kind, makes this income source’s potential stability superior to any income that depends on sustained popularity or the whims of platforms.
When using DEX’s (Decentralized Exchanges)— you can reduce the dependency ratings to ZERO as you are only dependent on having an internet connection.
There are no obstacles or barriers to entry other than needing some start up money to start a bot, and most apps make bank transfers or debit card purchases of crypto available to get started. Thanks to easy-to-access mobile apps downloadable from most app stores, these tools are accessible to pretty much anyone with a smart phone.

As a result, Crypto Trading Bots are my favorite online income, personally.
Anyone who doesn’t like having their income be dependent on the whims of people who think it is their moral duty to censor and demote content, should consider automated trading.
Anyone who doesn’t want to constantly dance like a monkey to retain engagement and come up with new ways to get attention constantly, should consider automated trading.
As a human with sharp pointy opinions and sometimes perspectives that run afoul of the “politically correct”, I really don’t like the few times I have built small enjoyable online income streams, only to have them hamstrung by censors, algorithms, and bans.
Examples:
I created a “Russian Asset Brand” clothing store during the 2019 fiasco when political gaslighters were referring to Tulsi Gabbard as a Russian Asset, and that store made a cool $5000 per month for 3 months until Facebook, Instagram, AND PayPal killed my accounts for that business on the same day. Coincidence? That would be pretty crazy.
They also scrapped my bookstore PayPal account at the same time, a totally separate and unrelated venture.
This was an account with over 12 years of history connected to ebay. Why? No real reason was ever given, even after a lawyer’s letter was sent.
Yeah, that kind of thing can happen.
Political Hot Button Trolling can create INSTANT and somewhat effortless sales for Print on Demand sales, but apparently someone didn’t like what I did, and it impacted MORE than just my hot button clothing biz.
Group:DELETE
My old primary business was hit by a social media ban too. I built a Facebook group for my Cannabis Cigar Tools business and built it up until we had over 5,000 members. That took quite a bit of effort and promotion to build. Analytics were showing a steady $1000–1500/mo in sales to my website directly attributable to traffic from the group. Keep in mind, I sell plastic molds, not any type of cannabis product itself.
Facebook deleted the group in 2021 with no explanation other than I violated terms. And I can see they did the same thing to my primary competition, their group is gone, and their Facebook page is stuck at 400 followers and they haven’t posted in a year. Fair to assume they stopped considering Facebook worth their time. My facebook page for that business is shadow-banned; it grew to 1600 likes and then everything just….stopped. Cold.
Fortunately for me, Google has been pretty kind and so has YouTube and a good combination of those two has kept my primary business alive for 7 years and counting.
Repeatedly I have been shown that most online income is somehow dependent on popularity, the whims of algorithms and search engines, the whims of people, or a combination of all the above, and this is true even if you create a useful physical product and want to sell it to the world.
Crypto Trading Bots on the other hand — other than the inherent volatility of the crypto market, by mere virtue of being totally non-dependent on media platforms, advertising, or any kind of popularity, may actually prove to be most stable form of online income I have ever found outside of real estate and rentals.
The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Crypto Trading Bots
Not stable in the predictable-profit-every-month kind of way, but in the no-one-can-take-this-away-from-me kind of way. No one can disrupt this income stream on a whim with no explanation because they didn’t like something I said or because I violated some nebulous policy.
