Imagine the movie Equilibrium, but instead of taking a drug to block our emotions, we are walled into smart cities and encouraged to be emotional children instead of intellectual numb cogs.
We are encouraged to enter scenarios of make-believe and fantasy, unable to distinguish what is real from what is imagined, and many are encouraged to incorporate elements of fantasy into their self-conception and self-image (identity).
All the propaganda reinforcement screens are playing a slightly different message that tells us that feeding ourselves has destroyed the planet and we must submit to a totalitarian order to save it.
Everyone is so childlike and emotionally led-by-the-nose that they can’t fathom the absurdity of the message.
These dystopian alternative fictions are an attempt at a micro-intervention by using stark mental images in hopes of preventing such realities from becoming tangibly real. Thank you for reading.
